Solibri.vmoptions - max ram
-
@twosk The max allowed ram usage depends on the installed ram size. So there’s a ram assumption. The problem is that the default works for many people, but not all. Another problem is that the value is overwritten in the update. Let’s see, if that can be overcome somehow.

@solmac This setting must be present before Solibri launches, so it is quite challenging to add it to the settings.

Perhaps it would make sense to make an equation: solibri max ram usage=total available ram - 10% or 6GB. That way it would react to dynamic availability of ram.
Sometimes I would open solibri, run checking and turn off everything. After investigating results in solibri I would turn on Trimle/dalux, revit, chrome etc. -
@twosk This formula might give too much memory to Solibri and might not work for all users. Maybe not all are so much aware of the memory usage of their software that they could turn on/off software when needed. Let’s see, if we can fix the installer not to overwrite the value.

What are the latest options in vmoptions that can be altered? And how those affect to Solibri?
My Mac-version 25.0 has these:
-Xmx32768m -Dwd=/Applications/Solibri -Dj3d.docompaction=false -Dj3d.optimizeForSpace=true -Dj3d.releaseBoundingBoxMemory=true -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=true -Dlangs=15 -Xss10m -Dorg.bouncycastle.ec.disable_mqv=true -Djdk.http.auth.tunneling.disabledSchemes= -Djdk.http.auth.proxying.disabledSchemes= -Dinstall4j.logTimestamps=true -Djava.library.path=/Applications/Solibri/lib/ext -Djavafx.cachedir=/Applications/Solibri/lib/ext --add-opens=java.base/java.lang=ALL-UNNAMED -Dcom.sun.webkit.useHTTP2Loader=false -Dauto-open-get-started-role=true
