Exceptions in General intersection rule

Hi, I have clashed pipes vs slab.

Made a rule:

SOME clashes were ignored based on exceptions, but many are not ignored that should be clearly ignored. What’s the reason? Thanks.

I found that it is possible to filter based on severity, but again should it work like this?

You can set the severity based on Severity Parameter filters. You cannot drop out results by the severity.

its all great, but why exceptions does not filter out undesirable results?
I mean I’d like to automate this rule it with autorun and I only need results that is left after filtering out exceptions.
In any case should exceptions work like this?

@twosk if you can provide us with a simple example (preferably IFCs + ruleset, a .smc file works also) to duplicate the issue of intersections that should be excluded in your opinion, it’d help us to find the problem or help you in setting up your rule.
