    Hi,

We have a project in Solibri where we are using a lot of classifications to structure data.

How can we speed up the project because the more classifications we create the slower solibri will work?

Hopefully someone has experience with this.

    Thanks.

Simplify your classifications. The more rows and colums you use in a classification, the heavier it will be. For example, we split a heavy/big classification into 2 classifications which allowed us to drastically reduce the necessary amount of rows and colums. The first classification is just a ‘pre-classification’, the second one is the one that is daily used.

And also, ask yourself the question; which classifications are really used from day to day? We started to remove classifications that are barely used. If they need them, they can still add them based on their Role, but it’s not loaded in from the beginning.

Are you using relationships in your classifications? The use of relationships in classifications slows down the program. Try to do classifications without relationships and, like Ricardo said, keep them simple.

            Some classification optimization tips:

            1. Avoid “any” in the classification filter. If classififying beams and columns. Add there rows in the filter.
            2. Remove needless columns. E.g. Component column is not needed if the filter is set to classify only only type of components.
            3. Use first match in the classification rules. Best match is rarely needed and requires all rules to be processed.
            4. When using first match order most common matching row at start.
