When creating a company solibri extension default layout doesn't work

Hi,

I’m trying to setup an extension for the company. In the Role I tried defining default layout these two ways:

Using a local path, in that case it shows up as normal, but not as a server link, in which case the layout file isn’t available to the user. Workaround is that the layout file still uploads to the server and you can select it through resource tab.
After doing 1st way, I get to pick the link from resource tab which is a server link and save it to the Role. But in that case it comes up empty and I again need to select it from the resource tab.

For example Carbon Checker works fine and shows up with the correct server layout link. Is there any specifics why it doesn’t work for me?

We have been working with an extension for a long time and we also have this error message. It turns out that the layout cannot be placed in the extension and that it must be placed on each PC separately to be able to load it.

We presented this to our Custom Success manager at Solibri. Unfortunately this has not yet been resolved.

It does load for us, only the default layout path doesn’t appear. If you click the three dots next to it after loading the role the layout does appear in the resource tab

We’re having the same issues with our Company extension and layout sets. This bug is on Solibri’s todo list for almost 2 years I guess. Last update I’ve got from Solibri HQ about this issue (september 2023), it’s still an open and active issue on Solibri’s list.
I have my hopes on the ability to share Roles and corresponding Layout Sets through the integrations function. It didn’t made it to last release, where classifications, ito’s and rules where made available through integrations.
