The ITO for my Componenets is pulling the correct Space name but in the COBie area its pulling the data from the incorrect column within the ITO. See Image.

Ideally i would like to use the nearest space for my components but the nearest space is pulling through incorrect naming i just need it to read as '‘XX-XXX’ same as column F.

Hi did you figure out how to take it from the Space column in the ITO instead of the nearest space? Mine is doing the same and I have formula on space column to just give me the codes I need but COBIE sheet is still taking the nearest space

Hi Matt/Rachel, the COBie extension space column is hardcoded to use the Nearest space relationship, this can be edited using the custom relations to make sure that you have the right space there. If you have a property that has that value already you can add this to the COBie template file as say Space1 then rename your column in the ITO to match. This will then populate this new Space1 Column in the COBie interface and when you export. All you need to do now is to remove the Space column and rename the Space1 column to Space.

We have seen many properties where it has the space value that is wrong i.e. in different parts of the model. So as a precaution I would write a comparison between property values (using rule #203) and check that the value you have in the space property is one of the values that are contained in the nearest space relationship. At least then you can be sure the data in the property is accurate.

Hi Simon, thanks for the response. I had done your suggestion in adding the additional column in the template and populating from the ITO but hadn’t thought about the comparison rule. Will give that a go!
