Next to the container Floor, there also seems to exist in Solibri the container BuildingStorey, but that container BuildingStorey is not listed in the enumeration of Solibri containers.

What is the purpose of this alternate (hidden) container?
(Why is the notation without a space? Why is it not “Building Storey” instead of “BuildingStorey”, like the notation for all the other containers/components?).

      Hi @Solibrians

I noticed something strange today based on an IFC model from Tekla, but I’ve now tested it on other IFC models as well and am seeing similar results.

I generally use the “Show/Hide Floors” view filter from the navigation bar to visually check whether elements are linked to the correct floor or not. I assumed that the content of these displayed floors would come from the “BuildingStoreys", but that doesn’t seem to be the case. (see screenshot)

Is this a bug in Solibri, or why am I not seeing all the floors in the filter in this case?
The only explanation I can think of is that every ‘BuildingStorey’ in this export has the same Z-value, which makes me feel like Solibri is choosing just one floor to display.
‘Floor 3’ has a different Z-value than the other floors, and I suspect this is why it’s displayed separately.

Could you explain in more detail how Solibri processes this behind the scenes so I can better understand it?
So I can better guide external parties on this matter.

      Thanks in advance!

Looks like you have two buildings. Probably that’s why?

There are indeed 2 buildings in the same IFC model, but they share the same floor levels. They forgot to add the building name to a few elements. I will check it again when they changed it in the new export. But in other projects I have one building and there we have the same problem.
