    Hello everyone,

We would like to show you a little sneak peek of some of the upcoming features that will be released soon.

    BCF API
    1_1535537385278_BCF-API.png
We have been collaborating with multiple CDE vendors to create a more fluent workflow when it comes to issue management.

The new BCF API will be included in the next version of our BCF Connector which will include four new providers (Aconex, bimsync, BIM Track & Trimble Connect) as well as open up for other vendors that follow the buildingSMART standards for BCF API (https://github.com/buildingSMART/BCF-API)

For those who have used the BCF Connector before there will be no bigger changes in the workflow.

With this first release, we want to get the API out for people to start using and testing it and get valuable feedback back to the development team on how this can be improved.

    Rule Template API

In future, the development of Rule Templates will no longer be carried out exclusively by Solibri. With the introduction of the Rule Template API, we enable our customers to create customized Rule Templates themselves.

The resulting tailor-made templates can be used and exchanged in the usual way using the Ruleset Manager and the Rulesets.

The API will be delivered as part of the Solibri Model Checker installer in the next release and can be used by all licensees. The Java-based development kit contains the various functions and features that Solibri itself used for the definition of known Rule Templates. Of course, there is also rich documentation with examples, tutorials, videos, and templates, which make the developers life much more comfortable.

The Rule Template API starts as Beta and is supported by the Developer section on the Solibri Society platform, which is driven directly by the developers.

    Backups
    0_1535537385278_backups.png
One of the most requested features has been related to backups of .smc files. With the upcoming release of Solibri Model Checker, you will be able to specify how many backups that are saved for your different .smc files.

The backups will be generated on each save and the oldest backups will be overwritten when the maximum amount of backups have been reached. To make sure that you are always able to get back to the starting point, we are saving the original file as the first backup.

Is the Developer section already active on the Solibri Society platform?

Hey Robin! The developer area will initially only be available to testers during the beta phase. The reason for this is that we want to control the number of customers a little so that we can better support the individual projects. The opening of this section will take place shortly before the release.
