    Hey guys, how are you?

My question is quite simple (I suppose), is it possible to compare a component area to a space area?

For example, I have a suspended ceiling that occupies only a small part of the room. My goal is to check if the area or the projection area of this suspended ceiling is less or equal 30% of the room’s total area.

The rule should be something similar to #19 Spaces Must Have Enough Window Area, but since this one is specific to windows and doors, I couldn’t adjust it. Is there any other example rule that could be used instead? Or the only solution rests on building a new rule through API?

    Cheers!

That should be possible with SOL #231 and some classification work.

In this quick example the Slab has 9m^2 in a 16m^2 space.
The condition is that the Slab in the same space should be at least > than 90% of the Space Area (which would be the 14,4 m^2). In you case it would then e.g. be <= 0.3 I guess.
