    Dear Solibrians, Please Help!

I have modelled a 3D entrance arrow for each apartment, which is assigned the same Apartment number. This Parameter Einheiten-ID is shared by all Rooms which are belong to the same apartment.

Now I would like to check if all the rooms which are near this entrance arrow have the same value for Einheiten-ID. I have been trying with SOL/222 but I am having no success.

Does anyone have a suggestion for me?
    Thanks in advance !

      Hey Nathan,
interesting topic. I would check for relations first to get a connection between room, arrow and door. Otherwise I think you will get a lot false wrong issues.
Does the entrance door have any relation to the arrow (next component, …)?
Do you have an example file?

      Best,

        Hi Julia,
thanks very much for your Reply! The Arrow has no relation to the rooms of the apartment or to the door. The rooms and arrow have this one attribute in common; Einheiten-ID…
Here is my current test file: einheitenpfeil in der nähe von seine Räume.smc

Thanks very much in advance !

        Best regards,
        Nathan

          HI @Nathan-Ashton,

Could you tell me more about the objective behind modelling this arrow?

Maybe your door could have this number instead of an arrow ?
Because it seems like (to me) they have this purpose in common.

          What do you think?

          Best regards,
          Mathieu

            Hello Mathieu,

thank you very much for your reply!

We work with ArchiCAD and generate ITOs from there which we put into Excel to generate Room schedules.
The arrow has the purpose for our Excel file of grouping the rooms together in to groups.

Thanks also for your suggestion, I will see if implementing the Room number in the door is viable in our system and if it can be automated.

            Best regards,
            Nathan Ashton

              Hey Nathan,
I think Mathieu’s suggestion is a really good one. You should try to find the easiest way.

If you still want to solve it the other way: It would be great, if your example file could also contain walls an doors for this flat. There are relations that could help with your question, in this screenshot, the arrow shows a relation to the living room. I guess the relation to the entrance door could be even more specific:

                Hello Julia,

I have just realised that the file I uploaded seems to be incomplete! I am not sure how that happened, I was sure that if I save and send an smc I do not need to include the ifc. Perhaps it did not upload correctly.

                Thanks so much in advance.

                  one more attempt:
Einheitenpfeil in nähe gleich benannte Räume.smc

Ok I see what you mean now, in the file which actually contains the building elements the Arrow has only a relation to the Stairwell room as it is placed in this room but only points the the aparment it represents und shares just the one Attribute.

I will keep looking at the possiblity of using the door for grouping the Rooms.

                  Best regards,
                  Nathan Ashton
