Working with issues of multiple clashes (BCF Live Connector)
-
Hi everyone,
I would like to open a topic for handling issues of multiple clashes, especially when it comes to BCF Live Connector.
We are developing our workflow with BCF Live Connector but we face many problems to keep the communication of the issues as clear and user-friendly as possible. The biggest problem is that the clashes of a multiple issue that was created loses its slides on the CHECKING view, if the first clash of the group has been resolved. It seems that the issues of multiple clashes is only connected to the first clash of the group, both with the “offline” issue, and live issue.
The workflow I tested:
First round:

-
Creating an issue with multiple clashes (by selecting more clashes of checking results on the triangle level, than creating a slide)
-
Creating the presentation
-
importing the issue from the Presentation to the BCF Live Connector - at this point we clearly see that the traditional issue (in Presentation) and the Live issue include different components. In many case we add the components manually to the BCF live view in order to make the clasing components clear for the users on the other, native side. But the connection of the clashes and the issue seems to be existing only between the first clash of the group.
-
syncing it to the bcf server (in this case bimcollab).
Second round (resolving one clash - the first clash of the group - of the issue including multiple clashes

- the rechecked checking result shows the rejected clashes of the previously made issue, but the slides are missing.
- Actually, on the RESULT view the blue sync sign (BLC Checking Result Topic Column) is only indicated to one clash of the multiple issue. However the previous column with the white sign - showing that the clash has slide and/or it has a presentation as well - appears next to all of the clashes included of the multiple issue.

- at this point, since the original issue may already have history by the users, and there is no possibility to delete the issue, plus synced slides cannot be refreshed, we have to keep the issue ongoing and check it manually, creating new slides with the components still clashing, including the components to the slides. All of these steps have to be done in the active BCF Live connector, but I guess because of the continuous connection to the bcf server, it randomly jumps out of the issue you are dealing with.
So how do you handle this particular problem in Solibri? Not to mention about the whole lifecycle of an issue with several checking and validation rounds when new clashing components would be reasonable to add to an existing issue?
Does Solibri have a recommended workflow for issues of multiple clashes?Thank you for your insight and recommentdation in advance!

I have reproduced the issue where the result issue slide is lost for multiple linked results when only one is resolved (possibly the first one from the top in the list of results). I will log this with our R&D.
Would you please send this issue to [email protected]. You can reference this post https://society.solibri.com/topic/1651/ as it clearly describes the issue, and we’ll pick it up.

@john-lipp
I opened an issue on solibri support as you advised, thank you for picking it up. (In the issue we tested the first component was resolved as you wrote.) -
Hi @Ilona-C-T
The latest version Solibri 24.12.0.44 fixes issues in which issue slides could be lost for multiple linked results when only one of the issues was resolved.
