Unusable autotext slows me down

Is there a setting to entirely stop Solibri autogenerating some nonsense description for an issue when I create it from checking results?

I ALWAYS delete it, and sometimes a lengthy set of description can take on long time to even generate, all for absolutely nothing.

If no setting exists, how soon can we get one?

There is setting for auto generating the description. It’s under File -> Settings -> Checking

@jakub-rusin Yes, but the setting doesn’t seem provide a completely empty subject line.

Here’s a result from the basic clash rule, other rules provide slightly different results.

Sorry, in the original post you mentioned description only.

If you want to replace the title with your own either

click the title text field and press Ctrl+A to select whole title text -> start typing new title
or
triple click the text field to select whole title text -> start typing new title

Anyway the issue title is needed to proceed to BCF Live Connector. Are you following this workflow?

If not, is your goal to create bunch of issues without title and description?

@jakub-rusin Yep, sorry for the imprecise wording, for the generated ‘description’ autotext I was indeed referring to the text in the issue Title-field, not the issue Description-field.

Indeed I mostly only use the Title field, and:

having to click and Ctrl+A / triple click is the issue - that’s hundreds, often over a thousand, mandatory, but entirely unnecessary clicks per checking session just to clear the autotext that is of no actual value to me. I would rather just start typing into the empty field.
Of course there’s a factor of user error, by mistake at times I will just click twice, or maybe four times, and mess up the field when I’m not looking at it when I start to type and won’t notice that not all of the autoetext is selected.

In short, we don’t have a lot of fields whre Solibri can provide accurate, applicable and concise text, and the Title field least of all, so why not add a similar check mark for selecting the automatically generated info (or at least to clear it entirely) in Settings, as for the Description texts…

I am all in for improvements in this system.
For example, something like labels where the user can click specific / most used words that are then inserted in to the title or description etc. There can be a lot done to make it more automated, or just less hassle for the user.

In my eyes, this system HAS to get smarter because I notice that most of our people spent more time filling in additional information about the info, in comparison to making / searching for issues.
