    Hello all,

before we create the QTO, we usually go trough the model and doing a visual check to sort out how the model was built and what kind of informations are available.
It happens quite often that some components do not have a proper information set and element type (ProxyObjects).
Therefore it would be great if we could add custom informations to the components which are available for the QTO.
Is this possible at the moment? If not, how is your workflow?

    Thanks!
    Marcus

      Yes… that is possible.

      1. Create a new classification.
      2. Create an ITO and add that classification as a column.
      3. Set the column as editible.
      4. Select elements and use TakeOff selected and add info / text to specific elements by typing tekst in column in the ITO.

Info then becomes part of the classification, which you can add in other ITO’s.

Hi Jeronen, thank you for the input!
Unfortunately the QTO list does not show the selected component from the viewer…
While this helps for commenting directly into a QTO list a lot, i would love to do it the way around. Select a component in the modell view then add the info.

Instead i have to search the component manualy in the QTO list. Or am i missing something?

Yes that is possible… select an element and hit TakeOff Selected… and then you can add custom info to that element… or select multiple elements and add info to multiple elements in one time.

You can remove some columns (for example the Type columnn) or remove the grouping on the Type clumn to make it work better.

            Hi Jeronen,

            thanks again!
That’s a solution for me. Not as intuitive as i hoped it would be, but ok.
            🙂
