    Does anyone know how to filter the Groups in a Classification?

    I see different Groups in the Model Tree and i want to use them in a Classification

      Hey @JohanE,

      It seems that the Solibri-own Group type is indeed not supported within Classifications. However, you should be able to refer to these entities using the actual IFC Entity. I guess the components in your model are IfcGroup instances and so you should be able to refer to them using this:

      All the rest within the classification should work as known. Please check if the groups are really defined as IfcGroup (click an instance and check the information view) as this is just an assumption.

      Cheers

        @cpreidel

        The IFC Entity is in this case “IfcFurnishingElement”.
        It doesn’t give the name of the Group.

        Any other idea?

        Is it an option to support this within Classifications?

          Hey @JohanE ,

          Ah, ok, so in the model, the IfcFurnishingElement must be defined directly as the group’s parent element via the IfcRelAssignsToGroup relationship. In this case, I am not even sure if the Solibri types, as such, would help, as relationships seem to be the only accurate indicator. Unfortunately, these are currently also not supported within the classifications as they make things super complicated. But you could check if the grouping component has a “Group” or “System” attribute under the “Location” attributes. If this is available, it should also be accessible in the classification rules and the main filter.

          And in any case, it would be helpful if we can take a look at your model ourselves to see how we can help you with the tools that come out of the box. Could you send the case and the model to [email protected]?

          Thanks
          Cornelius
