What about this one?
If I just want to re-run checking on a large set because of minor changes it takes time.
Disabling all the other rule is not really an option because when you make whole folders active again it also activates rules which should remain disabled.
So for the sake of testing, developing and speeding up minor checking checking routines consider that thought - is there any reason which argues against the possibility to just “Check selected ruleset” or right-click and check rule? -

A wish for Solibri, let the coding begin.

To Solibri developers, lend me your ear.
A response or feature, a gift just for me,
In the world of BIM, oh can’t you see? In the Society, where wishes are made,

A jingle for Solibri, a dance and a song,
Come on developers, let’s all get along! This Christmas, the third time around,
Hoping for feedback, on festive ground.

And thank you for reminding us about this improvement, even though unfortunately we can’t still give any ETA for that. But we’ll take that into account in future feature prioritization. -
I can’t emphasize enough how handy this feature requests would be. Very often classifications need to be adopted for specific rules in a big ruleset and a quick check is necessary to validate the changes made. Altered classifications mean results become invalid and all rules are checked again and this can be very time-consuming.
Often it is faster to make a copy of the workfile where someone can recklessly make changes, remove rules, … checks what’s needed to be checked and if time allows/in the best case everything is then federated again into the main coordination model after the task is completed.
Sometimes you get a call and just need to quickly validate a specific issue with new models. With all the various methods and ways to work with Solibri we have figured out over the years, the above described quick and dirty approach is still the one which is preferred by the users though well knowing it’s not a sustainable one. This is disappointing.
In the end it’s all about keeping the mind free from unnecessary administrative workload to be able to focus on the actual engineering task and a tool should not slow us down due to limited functionality.
Time is precious and the solution for this usability flaw is so easy. It’s not easy to understand why this has not been implemented.

Well… here we go again I guess …
Another year has passed — it’s Christmas once more,
Solibri brings updates, as we’ve seen before.
Version 25.12 delivered a few requests,
Some long-awaited gifts among the rest.But under the tree, as tradition unfolds,
One present is missing, the story retold:
“Check only selected rules” — still out of view,
A classic refrain, familiar but sadly so true.So we often keep waiting through each full rule run,
For just one single result, when the check is done.
Every small change restarts the countdown anew,
Like Christmas itself — mostly waiting for Santa, too.

@JSN Nice to see a slightly more positive verse this time around!
Most of the devs are out on Christmas break, but we’ll dig into this again when they come back. I recall that we’ve discussed this topic a few times already, and that there are some underlying technical limitations here and there. Either way I’ll check with the gurus and see what the options are.
