remember settings

Solibri forget the settings of, among other things, the role and the last opened files.
Does this affect more people and are there solutions known?

@koen Over here we have similar issues after a JAVA update. When JAVA is updated all settings are reverted back to default values, including role, last opened files, all settings (units, 3d, bcf, etc) and ruleset manager locations. Send a support request to Solibri this morning but no response yet.

For me the settings are still there after setting it up once.
Maybe an update like Mvandenbrink said?

There have been no updates in that area.
Some colleagues are bothered by it and some are not.
I will keep looking

Dear @Solibrians ,

Over here JAVA is updated on several notebooks and all settings are lost again. All recent files and file locations, settings and ruleset manager locations are gone. Do you have any suggestions how to backup and restore these settings or how to prevent these from being whipped when JAVA’s updated.

Hi. It is possible that your Java installation wipes out all settings made with Java applications to Windows registry. Which Java distribution are you installing?

We are using this Java distribution. Seems to be automatically updated, not sure how to check if it wipes all settings.

Dear @lasse-lindqvist ,

Unfortunately we’ve got another Java update and all Solibri settings are gone again. Do you have any suggestions how to fix this? Or any ideas how to save all Solibri settings to a seperate file and restore them easily. Setting up Solibri again takes quite some time.
