    HI @Solibrians,
I noticed a classification anomaly when it is linked to a model category. Did it happen to you too?

    Here the steps I followed:
1- I have added an ifc model and I have associated it with the model category called “Test”; then I created a classification that takes only the components contained in the Model Category defined before.
    See image below:
    1. Model Category.jpg

2- I have added a second ifc model to the Model Category. I would have expected that the classification would automatically update correctly but it did not happen. All new items are not classified.
    See image below:
    2. Add Model to Model Category.jpg

3- Only if the classification is closed and reloaded then the correct classification results are obtained.
    See image below:
    3. Close Classification and Reload Classification.jpg

    Is this a bug?

    Thanks,
    Have a nice day!
    Paola

Hi. Classifications are only recalculated on specific times, one of which is the acceptance of the classification dialog. Some others are IFC updates/imports.

There are so many things that classifications can rely on (including current time) that this is a difficult problem to solve. Of course in this specific case we could force recalculation when model category is used somehow and they are modified.

        @lasse-lindqvist thanks for the reply.
So the only procedure to follow at the moment is to reload the classification.
On the other hand, regarding the forced recalculation you were talking about, forgive me but I did not understand if it can be an improvement to be taken into consideration for the next releases (maybe Solibri 10 ?) or not.

It is something that could be improved, but something that has not been improved yet. I would guess this will have a low priority, since it is something that can be worked around by the user, but of course it might get fixed in some version.
