How far can we trust the results coming up in a ITO.
I have now controlled some of the volum for some concrete calculations and made a remark in one of the posts. Where solibri is giving me the wrong results.
How can we trust solibri when this happens. Has this happend to anyone else?

This is actually a small crisis because solibri loses alot of trust giving out wrong results in the calculations. When you calculate for 25000 tons of concrete its a lot money dissapearing in mid air.

What were the calculations, the results and what did you expect to see?

@Mrdraidi Often Solibri users use more than one source for volumes to ensure the success rate. If the model includes the Base Quantities property set, you can use that to also get the volume in a different ITO column. If these two volumes agree, then they’re most likely correct. With an example we could see, where the problem is. If it is in the IFC or in Solibri.

It is always recommended to do some cross check of the quantities calculated by Solibri.

From my experience, it is very rare to find a volume that is not correct. And this value can be use to confirm Net Area of many elements if one divides this value by the thickness of the element.

Some elements that are curved, have a L-shape or have a fall (roofs, ramps) some times give some surprising values for their areas.

You need to be aware about overlapping between elements also to be sure that your quantities are not being summed several times.
