    Hello Society members,
    Regarding the action to close classifications, to make the experience smoother and avoid accidental clicking on the button, we would like to get your feedback!
    Would you rather remove the X-button for ‘Close Classifications’ on the top right side?
    Or would you like to keep it?
    Either way we will add a warning message to double-check if you want the removal action to be done.
    Please see image below to find where the said button is located:

    Thank you for your feedback!
    Kind regards,
    Cecilia Wang, UX designer
    On behalf of the Solibri team

      Hi Cecilia,

      I think that the button itself is fine, but the placement is wrong.
      It is between the ‘open’ and the ‘visualize on/off’ buttons. Because these buttons are often used, that’s the reason (for me atleast) that I click the ‘close’ button accidentally from time to time.

      Moving this button outside of these would solve the accidentally clicking of it.

      Also, I think it would benefit the UI if the buttons would be a bit bigger, but I don’t know if others share that opinion.

        @Ricardo
        Hello Ricardo,
        Thank you for providing the information, I will make design improvements on the placement as well to solve the accidental clicking problem.
        The button size is certainly something that we will take into consideration too when it comes to the UI changes, making them bigger would be a great idea.
        Thanks again and have a great week!

          Hi @cecilia-wang

          To me, it is also about the icon. You can easily confound it with the cog icon for setting (both are rather round) when you are trying to go fast…
          I think a red color or another visible distinction could help a lot.

          Best regards,
          Alex

            Hi Cecilia,

            I want to keep the x-button on the top right side and receive a warning message when I close classification.
            I agree with Riccardo: it would be useful to move the button (I think the placement after the “manuall classification” button is better) and make all buttons bigger.

            Thansk,
            Paola

              @paola-bronzo @Alex-J
              Thank you for taking the time to offer these great suggestions. As we move forward with the improvements, I’ll continue paying more attention to the details in the interface elements like these with design changes. Much appreciated!

                @cecilia-wang

                I know this has been implemented and we appreciate that but I just noticed that the behaviour for ITOs is still left with room for improvements. The close button is as we know right next to the setting symbol there …

                7d418d8f-a808-47a8-a3f6-af76745c531b-image.png

                … and we get a warning if accidentally close them while not yet saved but I realized that saving the .smc is also considered as a save for ITOs although there is no extra file you can roll back worst case. This is not the case for classifications where you still get a warning if you have not really saved new classifications despite from saving the file itself. Is there a reason for it?

                Btw any news when we’ll be able to resize the labe…

                  What’s the status on those things 6 months later? Every after while I still hear someone scream in the office cause somebody accidentaly hit the wrong button …
