Hi there! I am having trouble getting answers from software support and thought I might ask the knowledgable community of Solibri users what i need to find out:

We are developing prefabricated housing and plan it on a very large scale, which means a few of our current use of solibri we are running into limitations, and those which were not too bothersome before, now scaled up are turning into larger problems.

For example, the rules are not linked to their source. If a ruleset is changed by the BIM team who are creating the rules, the users are not notified and need to reload the rules into solibri (ruleset refresh has never seemed to work for us). Doing this erases the rule results, which is not good if you need to koordinate a project over a long period of time and rely on the information which rulecheck results have already been accepted. We need to link the rule parameters and filters to a central source, and have them automatically update themselves.

Example: Rule SOL/1/5.0 uses Component groups 1 and 2. If the variables which are used fo the rule change (for example the Office standard classification or attribute system), the rules retreive this information themselves before a new check is run

We are able to script and are aware that the developer platform exists, so can make use of this.

    • Would exisiting rules be able to be manipulated in the way described above?
    • Could new rules we create use existing templates as a function?
    • Can rules retreive data from config files, txt, csv or an online database with the Rest-API?

I hope I made my questions understandable! Thanks in advance for any hints or help.
