How do I know if a new Solibri update version is backwards compatible?

    Some background on this question.
I share my SMC file with third parties. And I got feedback in December that I updated without notifying them. And they could not read my file anymore. Because they couldn’t use my SMC file anymore (from update 9.13.023 to 9.13.1).update.png
So I decided to keep an older version on a separate computer just in case. Last week there was a new update (from 9.13.1 to 9.13.2). But after a quick test, this version was backwards compatible.
These third parties had an even older version 9.12.9.13. But I still don’t understand why they could use my SMC until version 9.13.023. There’s nothing about it in the release notes.

      Hello @teun_1!

Thanks for your message. While 9.13 is compatible with older Solibri versions, 9.13 does bring in support for additional IFC4 components, which are not supported in previous Solibri versions.

More informaiton on these are available in the Release notes.

      Kind regards,

Toni on behalf of the Solibri team
