    Hello.

    I’ve tried looking in this forum for more information regarding this, but haven’t been able to find it, so I’ll make a new post.

    In a project I am working on right now, we have Solibri autorun updating models every single night. The issue with that is that the .smc-file size keeps increasing every update. This is expected, as more objects and information is added to the model, but:
    If you create an entirely new Solibri-file with the same content (.ifc-files, classifications etc), the file size is a lot smaller. In other words, it is needed to create a fresh .smc-file every now and then so that you keep the file size relatively small.

    I’d like to add that I am not the one who manages the autorun and .smc-files, but I just wanted to post it here in case anyone else have the same issue, and/or a soloution other than creating a new file every now and then.

      @Patrick

      How much the file size increases absolutely?
      Does it increase when you update model with the same files?

        @Matti-Kannala Hello!
        So, I really don’t have the numbers, but I am quite sure I’ve seen a drop of around 100-200 mbs after a “fresh” .smc has been created. I’d also like to add that other than autorun, it’s has also most likely been models that have been added/removed from the .smc over the same period of time (incase that affects the file size in any way). I’d like to give you more information to go on, but I really don’t have any other then what I’ve heard and personally seen myself.
