    Hello all,
i would like to check the compliance of a minimum distance (e.g. 150mm) from a PfV to an end of a wall (the wall where the PfV is located).

I have already tried with the rule SOL/234/1.2 and SOL/222/4.2. But I don’t get reasonable results (way too many “false errors”).

Does anyone of you have a tip or a solution for me.

    Best regards
    Kai

I did the same check - PfV: min Distance to the edge of a wall/slab required.

      I used SOL/234/1.2. If i remember correctly

      • it is important that wall und PfV are on the same building storey
      • for every edge (upper, lower, sides) you have to create a separate rule.

If so it works quit well.

@chs said in Distance from ProvisionForVoid to the end of a wall:

        SOL/234/1.2.

SOL/234/1.2. gives me only collisions sideways, above and below. But I have to check the distance to the end of the wall, to the front and to the back. I cannot implement this with SOL/234/1.2.

Can you possibly post an example of your solution?

        Greetings
        Kai

          Hi Kai
Sorry it’s SOL/222/4.2 Here a screenshot to check PfV distance from upper edge.

With SOL/234/1.2 you can check if PfV is completly inside the wall or not.

              Hi Kai
I think screenshot would help. I still don’t get it. What is “the end” of a wall? Why a PfV should have a distance to the front or to back of a wall? And wat is the purpose of all these checks?

@chs Maybe this sketch will help.
Reason: minimum distances in brick walls.

                  Hi Kai
SOL 233 should work. Developped to check beam intersections

@chs This looks interesting! I will test it after my vacation.
                    Thanks for the tip.

                    Greetings, Kai
