I have a SMC with multible IFCs that set on prompt. Once in a while we drop new models (with the same IFC file name) with new obejcts and new timestamps in the folder that he SMC is connected to, but when I open the SMC I dont get the "Update models" alternative in the down right corner. The SMC dont seem to register the updated models. Is there sometihing that I`m doing wrong here or is this a problem that occurs with others?

Noticed it myself today, but it’s the first time it’s happened for my part.

I have the same problem. Solibri just don’t see the new (update) files when on prompt or automatic. When I update a file manual or add a new file, I see the newest version. Name en filepad are exactly the same…

I use prompt as standard. But I have to have routines to check if new ifc’s are updated in Solibri because every now and then it does not prompt that a new ifc file is available, even if it is. It would be great to know the reason why it sometimes does not recognice the same ifc (with the same name) as a new version? It would be even greater if it always shows up in Solibri with “Update models” of course.

On a related note, when switching file paths, the prompt mode will usually not notice changes.

We always use Dalux Sync which means we have a local path for the IFC files including the user name. When switching the user, we can easily remap all paths with the new username through the find and replace option. But the prompt option will not recognize file changes, we always need to do it manually once (which means we will force all IFC files to update in the SMC even though maybe just a few changed). And switch back to prompt mode afterwards.

Still is still an issue. Happens every now and then.
