Issues with §230 as a gatekeeper rule
-
So, I’m trying isolate filtering components to be checked from the checks themselves, ie. a gatekeeper rule(s) to select only the IfcWalls of the Arch model and then run rules A, B and C to those walls.
I’ve got SOL/230 to isolate only Arch model (check all, requirements = Discipline One Of [Architectural], Check only passed components). This works fine, all the subsequent rules are only ran for the Arch model elements.
Next I have SOL/230 to isolate only IfcWalls (and IfcWallStandardCases etc). This works by itself, ie. it generates issues for all the other components than IfcWalls. However, I cannot get it working as a gatekeeper. In the screenshot below, 1. and 2. are the same rule. The manual checking rule (3.) under 1. generates issues for every Arch model element, not only the walls, and same with all the other rules under 1.
I could probably do the same separation/filtering with classifications, but I would rather not pollute the model with unnecessary classifications. I just want one place to manage filtering for multiple checks.

Best regards,

Oh my lord, this works now. It 100% did not work yesterday, it 100% did not work this morning, I did not change any settings, but the gatekeeper seems to work now. I have no idea why and how. Thank you Matti, in any case.

@Ville-Reima might be related to some “cache” problems as those we ran into… updating one of the models usually solves it, in case you run into the same problem again.
