Rule 222 - Fire protection sprinklers
-
Hi all,
When I am doing a plan for the sprinklers layout, it is found that the distance checking are not working as expected.
The requirement is that the sprinklers should be separated by more than 2000mm.Here is the layout in Revit plan view and front view. Sprinkler heads are not on the same level, which is a realistic conditions.

My expectation:
Based on measurement from centre (yellow square), only the green sprinkler on left is PASS, and the red ones within hexagon should report FAIL.Result 1: checking based on plan view. The checking criteria is as below based on footprints. The result is OK and no failure.

Result 2: checking based on 3D. Checking criteria is based on shortest distance. There are failures observed. The shortest distance is 1578mm, which is less than 2000mm.

Since the size of sprinkler head is small, the plane rely on the part itself is short. So the checking planes do not overlap, so it do not show failures.
Please Solibri study of if there is a function to “project” the measurement plane distance so that plan view can reflect the case.
