    I am trying to create a rule set to identify elements that are placed randomly into the model.

    In this case I am looking to identify Fire Dampers. I can find the elements which are located correctly i.e they are clashing with a firewall but and it does not give me the elements placed in no mans land.

    What will be good ruleset to use or can this ruleset be improved to search for elements which are placed incorrectly? Thanks

      @Cahit
      You can use ruleset SOL/232/1.1 : Manual Checking Rule

      Create rules to create an imaginary box around your building.

      Anything outside the specified dimensions becomes an issue in this rule.

        … to search for elements which are placed incorrectly

        I assume you have federated models and therefore relationships are not really an option in this scenario. As a start you could then e.g. also try to check if all your fire dampers are placed within provisions for voids or the openings (of fire compartmentation walls) in a first step.

          @Harmen-Jorritsma Hi @Harmen-Jorritsma Thank you for your response. I think that will be a useful tip to catch anything misplaced outside the building envelope. I am trying to catch BW hole Generic model elements which are no longer required.
          It almost requires a rule not intersecting with an MEP system and a wall or a fire wall to identify floating elements within the building.
