    Hi @Solibrians,

One of our most important features within Solibri is the ability to add PDFs to provide all parties involved in the process with a better understanding of the project.
We have recently encountered a practical problem. We often receive sectional plans in PDF format that contain multiple sections. In certain situations, we want to place these sections in the correct location in the model in Solibri, which means that if, for example, there are two sections in the PDF, we have to place this PDF in two different locations in the model.

    Current workflow:
We make a number of copies of the PDF depending on the number of sections in the document, then load these PDFs separately and place them in the correct location in the model.
When the plans are updated, we have to copy this updated plan several times so that we can update the PDFs in the model separately. If we forget to make the copies, only the ‘original’ PDF is updated in Solibri and the copied PDFs are still in the old version, which can lead to errors.

    Prefered workflow:
The ability to place a PDF with multiple sections in different locations within Solibri and to create a ‘copy’ within Solibri. When a plan is updated, the relevant PDF in Solibri is updated and all ‘copied’ PDFs in Solibri are automatically updated as well, since they are essentially the same document. This would save a lot of time and drastically reduce the risk of errors.

Is our current workflow the way it should be used, or are we doing something wrong?
Are there others who encounter this issue? How do you manage it?

I am curious to hear your insights!
