    Hi

Is it possible to group rule Intersections in MEP Models results by Floor?
I am looking something similar that rule Structural Components Fit in Arhitectural Ones in ruleset Structural versus Arhitectural Models does.

Is there any solution for this? It would be create if rule Intersections in MEP Models would have ability to change Categorication of Results the same way like in rule Structural Components Fit in Arhitectural Ones

Might it be an option to use the component filter - so to have different rules for the architectural stories?

By the way, how are MEP elements properly assigned to a homestory? I mean if you have vertical elements like ducts and pipes going through multiple building storeys. Where do they belong? One of our MEP engineers asked me recently and actually I could not really find a reference for that. Any ideas?

At the moment I am using different rule for every story (using classification to achieve this) but if I need to change something in the rule it is time consuming to go change every rule by floor.

BIM requirements in Estonia demand that everything has to be modeled by floor.
MagiCAD is the most common program for MEP desing in Estonia so elements are modeled by floor and ducts and pipes that go through multiple building storeys are.separated by floor because of MagiCAD workflow anyway.

But if you have elements that go through multiple building storeys then as far as I know they belong to the storey they were assigned to in the design program.

Ok, well i agree with you that is painful and the categorization results should be supported by other rules as well and I think there are already some requests here where you can vote for this wish if I remember correctly - If not create a feature request.

In the meantime you could probably filter you results manually - I hardly use it at it requires manual changes too, but it might help you anyhow.

Well right, but if there is an MEP Object (which should not be split of course) starting in level -1 and going up till Idk maybe level 2, what homestory should be assigned?

According BIM requirements in Estonia, such elements must be assigned to the lowest storey

Good to know that there are some guidelines dealing with it.
If you have any links to such a reference I would appreciate it. (Might be also ok if it’s written in Estonian).
