Testing Threshold Height of Doors
-
Using SOL/208/3.1 to test for max Thresholds Heights of Doors, Solibri is measuring from the Bottom of the Opening to the Height of the Floor instead of the actual Threshold Height.
Even when defining the right Property for Threshold Height.

At the Moment Im just unsing “Door Requirements” to define the max Height.
Is there another way to test for max Threshold Heights?
Thanks,

It also a known issue in my model checking. Probably as in your case, in my models not all parts of the building sit on the exact storey heigh level, but shift upwards of downwards.
I was thinking that one of a plausible solutions is to check the door in relation to a floor. I know this is crazy since there is no relation in IFC between these two elements, but in reality we need them to check it. Another solution is a door in relation to an IfcSpace (since this sits on the FFL).

Hi @agroni!
But when checking the doors in relation to a Floor, i assume you will just be able to test the distances between the boundaryboxes, which will not have anything to do with threshold height.
Right?
Because if theres is a threshold it is higher than the lower Edge of the boundarybox!Or do you know of another rule which would be able the actual top Edge of the Threshold?

Currently the “Maximale Schwellenhöhe” ist calculated from the Storey height, respectiverly IfcBuildingStorey.Elevation. The problem is that the “Schwelle” is an integrated element of an Archicad door, which makes the task a bit difficult.
The suggestion I made is a wish from my side, since currently i don’t have any proper solution for it. Sorry
The BoundryBox is also somthing that is limited and not very adaptible to the special cases. This is rather a more complex situation to check since it depends on the solution. As in your case, it could be a part of a door that stands out, but other cases (my project) is where the “Schwelle” is achieved by lowering the FFL level in the apartment by 2cm, at the area of the door leaf.
If I come up with a solution, I will gladly post it here to help you…

Thanks!
Will be much appreciated.
