    Hi,

First of all I’d like to say I really like the new BCF Live connector but while using it I came across an issue which is really annoying and I’m hoping can be fixed.
When I create a new issue in the BCF Live Connector the snapshot/location from the previous selected issue get’s attached to the new issue. But I want to add the location/snapshot I’m currently seeing in my model view. Quiet obvious I’d say but it’s not doing this.

Or am I doing something wrong? I’m using the BCF Live Connector with BIMcollab.

Afaik there are some known issues in combination with BimCollab and I am loosing a bit the track here - due to that fact I am not using this version until further notice that all these problems have been fixed. I spent too much time wrapping my head around …

However, I am not sure if you are experiencing the same problems - can you provide some screenshos or footage to explain this a bit better?

@JSN No my issue is different.

I made a quick video. I select an excising issue. Move through my model create a new section plane. Press the new issue button. And end up with a new issue with a wrong snapshot (which worst of all) I can’t replace and my section plane is gone.

        It’s very straight forward.

Ah ok, this is strange - I just tried it out here too and for me it seems to work.
Is this also occuring when you turn off the Auto-Sync?
Or have you also experienced this before, maybe in a different model?

And yes the snapshots are immutabel - which is somehow a good thing, but if something is corrupt then it really can create a mess when no “mistakes” are tolerated.

@JSN I can’t create new issues in the BCF live connector when I turn off auto sync. But when creating issue’s in the old presentation mode everything works fine.
On top of this I did some more testing and I think the issue relates to the section plane. The location is stored correct but for some reason the section plane is turned off when you save the issue.

              Hello!

This is a strange issue which has not come up before, however I was also able to reproduce it:

              1. Open SMC model, load a BCF Live project and select any issue from the list to load the 3D view
              2. Edit anything in 3D view and create a new Issue in BCF Live View
              3. Notice the 3D view “updates” to the previous issue selection

It seems if no issues are selected before creating new ones, then the problem does not persist.

I will create an internal issue for this.

A few things which may help at the moment:

              1. While creating viewpoints, set automatic sync off in the settings, so that in case of any errors in the viewpoint, nothing gets sent to the server. This allows you to update the viewpoint in Live Issue Details.
              2. Try to avoid first selecting an issue in BCF Live to load a 3D view, but rather first adjust the 3D View and then create a new issue.
              3. Automatic viewpoint creation can also be toggled off in settings, however this has basically the same effect as #1.

              Kind regards,
Toni on behalf of the Solibri team
