Hi, I’m currently working on connecting Solibri Office to a local CDE using the OpenCDE Documents API. I followed the documentation (https://help.solibri.com/hc/en-us/articles/10233885447447-Using-the-Documents-API-Integration) and found the place in Solibri where I can establish a connection using the OpenCDE Documents API. However, I can only select certain providers from a list (e.g., Aconex, Bimsync, Catenda, etc.), but I can’t specify a specific server directly. I’m wondering how this works and if it’s even possible.

Can the list of OpenCDE Documents API servers be expanded via configuration, or does this require development effort? Is there any documentation for this?

The list of the servers with server information is now fetched from Solibri backend.
Currently It is not possible to configure your own local server.
We could add this possibility, this would help also BCF Server developers.
      What CDE are you using?

        Thank you for your reply.

We are currently working on developing CDE functionality for customers as an on-premises solution using the OpenCDE API standards (Foundation API, BCF API, Documents API, etc.). Therefore, it is important to us that the corresponding API endpoints are also configurable in the software, and it would be great if this were possible.
It seems that at least the BCF LIVE CONNECTOR is sufficiently configurable to enable the use of a local CDE. Can you confirm this?

Currently It is not possible to configure your own local BCF server.
The developers have used our beta environment for testing.
This method is not suitable for on-premises servers.

            Hello!

Solibri now supports local/private CDE and BCF connections. Please try out the beta and let us know how it looks!
