Is Location derived from Constraints?
-
Hi Solibrians,
I’ve encountered this and was wondering if this is a bug or IFC schema caters for Constrains and not Location, which Solibri derives from it. Want to ensure all elements are assigned to a Floor and naming syntax is consistent using SOL/203/2.4 but not seeing Location as a Property Set.
Constraints property set differs based on object type and will require several seperate checks.

I don’t have an direct answer to your question, but maybe another solution to check those parameters.
Instead of using just SOL/203/2.4, I use SOL/9/3.1 to check allowed naming convention for floors and SOL/176/2.2 to check the “container hierarchy” if elements are attached to floors.
Does this help? -
Solibri does not derive anything from Constraints property set. The location comes through the Contains relation (IFCRELAGGREGATES). If you click on the Relations tab, you can follow the Contains relation to the parent (the floor).
I think you should consider @agroni’s proposal.Hope this helps,
Pasi
