Hi, any progress in this topic? Same by me, from two backups one is also corrupted, so I have to repeat a lot of work. It is really annoying, in some cases it is not even possible to reconstruct, what have been done maybe several days before…

The first time I’ve reported such a case was in october 2019…

Hello!
We are currently working on a solution for this, which should be out in the next public release (9.10.8). The solution will improve the saving feature, and generally speaking, will check that the save has been fully completed. Please keep a look out for it in the release notes.
Kind regards,
Toni on behalf of the Solibri team

Thanks, that would be great:)

Hi Toni,
Sorry for being a pain in the a**, but may I know when this public release is going to be launched?Again today I got this error message with another project. I opened the backup file and Solibri has no clue about my created issues/slides. I have lost 54 slides in Solibri which I have uploaded yesterday into BIMcollab.!!!
Pffuhhhhh

Hello!
The improvements for the saving feature have been published in the BETA release of 9.10.8, which is out today. Do note, that this will NOT have any effect on files which are already damaged or corrupted, however the fix is designed to prevent this from happening again.
Please check the release notes here
Kind regards,
Toni on behalf of the Solibri team

Am I really the only one facing this problem???
Today…again…I saved the file minutes ago and on reopen got the same message
5,5h of work is LOST!!!
Sorry, but this is getting boring and anoying! And the worst thing is that my backup is from 04.04. Why is there no backup from today???
Everything you see here cannot be opened! I have to start the project from ZERO since I don’t have any other backup data.
@Solibrians PLEASE HELP ME?!?!?!?!?!?

Hello @agroni,
What version did you save the file with? Was this save created with the current BETA 9.10.8?
Also, can you tell us if you are saving the files locally or onto a network drive or somewhere else?
Kind regards,
Toni on behalf of the Solibri team

We are currently looking to get 9.10.8 out publicly toward the end of this week or the beginning of next week, which will have the file saving improvements included. For the time being, I would suggest saving a local copy in addition to the office server (I know this is a pain but it can also be a lifesaver sometimes).
Kind regards,
Toni on behalf of the Solibri team

If you have uploaded issues to BIMcollab, you can download them back to Solibri. In that sense, any work you have done for issues should not be lost.
(That is why I always tell people to upload their issues to BIMcollab on a daily basis). If you use a Solibri template, maybe a thing to try is to setup your project again. I don’t know if that is a lot of work in your case, but I would do it if I would keep losing save states on a particular .SMC…

Hi @Ricardo
Yes, BIMcollab is one solution to have your issues stored at a “safe location”. This is what I also did in my previous crash of the file. Sadly this time it crashed during the creation of slides, therefore no backup. There is one problem though with this method. Your issues are in back in Solibri, but they are not connected anymore to the results, meaning you have to manualy check everything. Well, at least you can keep track of how many presentations you have done…
ending the day with a cold beer after this frustrating day…
cheers to you all

UPDATE @21:55
I have started everything from scratch. Loaded all IFC files; defined the ressourse path and saved the rolle; loaded RuleSets and Classifications; created a presentation and downloaded the issues from BIMcollab; started adapting some RuleSets…and saved an SMC on my Local PC (not via VPN on my server) and closed. Tomorrow wanted to catch up with the lost time today and start with the issues…After my cold beer, I was curious if my RuleSet had been properly saved…and what do you know? The file cannot be opened anymore!
So today was a TOTALY wasted day… 9hours of work for NOTHING…NADA…
