    Dear Solibrians,

recently i stoumbled upon an “bug” or an issue regarding clashdetection and Objects with boundary representations in their geometry.

We recognized some false detected Clashes wich are not nice to get but acceptable. On the other hand we found many, many (very very much) clashes wich were not detected, what we think is very concerning (see screenshots below, file available on inquiry)!

In our opinion the issue (wrong or not found clashes) is based on the geometry of the used objects wich is described as boundary representation.

Please get back to me as soon as possible to discuss this issue, since this might lead to big number of not sufficient clash detections.

Looking forward to get in contact with u girls, diverse and guys,
    kind regards David

Hi. Would it be possible to get these projects sent to us for testing? If the project contains sensitive data, you can also remove all other components and only leave the affect components in it.

Hi there, is there any update regarding this ‘bug’? We’ve been experiencing similar problems lately. Previously undetected clashes get detected when running the same check (same ruleset) with new models but unchanged elements (regarding the clashes). As we took a closer look at the problems in the previous revison of the models, it turned out that the later detected clashes were already there, already existed, but for some reason they were not detected. Those elements didn’t even have an issue tab, just like in David’s case. This is concerning indeed.
        Thank you in advance!
        Best regards,
        Kati

Hi. For issues like this, we usually need the test model and ruleset configuration to be able to proceed with the fixes. So it is good if you can send them to Solibri support for investigation.
