IFC from BIG Revit models
-
Hello Solibri Society Team!
Today we have a new expirience with export of Big ventilation model in IFC from RVT. In a process we faced with some problems. For some reasons its export only a small part of model.
May be sm1 know the reason for this tragedy??
Tkanks in advance!

I believe this is a Revit / IFC export question, rather than something Solibri can fix.
Within Revit are several things that influence the export, from Exportmapping, to Family/Project parameters, to Export-addins (if talking about > Revit 2018), to imported files from CAD/SketchUp.Can you tell me a bit more about the model?

What exactly do you want to know? We tried to use a low detalization and tried an export without Revit Properties. Below you can see a screenshots with a parameters:

-
@dserdiukov In order:
- You need to check your Export mapping to see if your basic export rules out certain categories.

- Check to see if there are any parameters (IfcExportAs / IfcExportType) that obstruct your export. These parameters take priority over the export mapping.
Because you use “Export only elements visible in View”:
- Am I exporting from a 3D View, without elements hidden in view / filers / hidden elements from Worksets?
- Are elements in the right phasing before I export them? Phasing in View is what you export.
- Is the detail level in the 3D View set to Fine / Medium? (Course is generally not good for export)
Extra:
- I don’t advice using Extra Low for your exports. Lower detail typically means lesser accuracy (both in geometry visibility and quantities).

Thanks for your answer!
Now i will just ckech your ideas and give an answer -
Split model in several views, filtering Parts of the system. Export elementen only visable in view to multiple ifc files.

Do you know how to export few different IFC from one model in one time, without w8 for each other. I mean just do you know may we do it in a parallel, not one by one… because waiting for each model steal to much time
-
Use dinamo script, i d’nt have one but it should be possible
-
If you will find something like this it should be great!
May be it will work, need to check -
But, thanks a lot for idea
