Excel export result summarry cost very mutch time
-
@Solibrians ,
For creating a power bi dasboard i use the excel file of the report option n Result Summery.
But with a smc with al ot of ifc’s in it it takes a lot of time to create the report(upon 2 hours!).
Is there someting to exelerate this proces?Or is there another way to provide insight into the results of the rule set. In that regard, we can’t do much with the insight that Score shows.

In projects with more than 100k elements and lots of rules this is taking easily an hour or longer when you have lots of rules which are iterating trough all the elements. Due to the limitations in reporting - especially with property checking - which have been adressed multiple times and widely discussed in other topics already, we have to choose between performance (meaning fewer rules) and information (meaning more rules, more administrative work, poor performance).
If you ask me, I would prefer both, a better performance and a better property checking rule.
https://society.solibri.com/topic/1902/a-flawless-property-checking-rule-with-a-full-configurable-importHowever it would be interessting to hear if the rules are also your performance eating monster, or if there is probably something else which is causing the long export.

@JSN It is exactly the same. Modelelements up to 250’000 elements. A lot of rules and classifications. Information Checking and doing Slides for this Elements allmost inpossible due to performance. BCF Live connector not useable because the synching is far to slow…

@chris Seems familiar. From my experience even very powerful machines which we normally use for pointcloud computing are having issues with such files. As you said even just browsing the rulesets or switching between the tabs can get a very onerous matter which makes me think.
Big models is one thing, and we can deal with them by splitting them into pieces, but if the ressources itself eat up all the memory then it’s getting difficult.
Regarding the slow BCF sync I am curious what server you use as there are drastic performance differences between the different service providers.
