BCF live connector fails to authenticate when I try to connect to a BIMcollab cloudserver.

    The logfiles:

    WARNING: Unable to open browser
    java.io.IOException: Failed to open https://<REMOVED LINK>

Please open the following address in your browser:
    https://<REMOVED LINK>
Attempting to open that address in the default browser now…

I use the latest version of Solibri.

        Hi @Gerco and @sander-Eikelboom !

We have seen this as well!
Check if your proxy is by any accident turned on when it needs to be turned off.

If this does not help, try the following
Make the user for whom this is a problem an admin in the SSC

        Follow these steps:

        • As an administrator, go to the user tab in the admin view of the Solibri Solution Center, select the user and assign the admin role (details admin view)
        • Restart Solibri as user, so that the correct rights are retrieved
        • Make the connection
        • If necessary, the rights in Solibri Solution Center can be set back to the original rights: once the connection has been made, it generally continues to work.

          Hi @LauraVDH,

Proxy is of and making the user admin doesn’t fix the problem.

Can it be a firewall thing?

Hi. If the browser does not open at all, you could check what is your default browser for the operating system. You could also check if other links (such as hyperlinks) can be opened in a browser from Solibri.
Possible fixes could be changing the default browser, or reinstalling the current browser.

Now I am able to authenticate but the issues that I make don’t sync to BIMcollab cloud.

@Gerco It’s difficult to say what can be the problem. I contacted you in the chat.

                  Thanks @LauraVDH .
In my case it was the firewall that I have to give acces. For some reaseon I did not get a poppup.

It was an incident in my case.

Don’t forgot the ‘s’ in ‘https;//’ when adding the url of the server in Solibri.
I noticed that it could work sometimes without the s, but stopped working later on.

Out ICT department fixed the problem. They deleted something in the windows register and now it works again.
