Help me understand how Solibri fills in the property values
-
Hi.
I’m making a model With Revit 23 and I am trying to fill all the fields in the identification tab. There are a few values that I just can’t get into Solibri and that made me realize that I have no clue what so ever of how Solibri takes any of these values.
For example I am trying to fill in the Description value, but it is empty in Solibri. In Revit I tried to fill information to a parameter called “Description” and then I tried “IfcDescription”. I’ve tried many variations and different methods, but I just can’t get the Description info to appear in Solibri. So what is the parameter name I need to fill in Revit to get the same information in Solibri? Same problem applies to the System value which I can’t figure out how to get to appear in Solibri.
Is there any documentation on how Solibri is trying to find the correct information to fill the property values? Does anyone know what is the logic behind all of this? I would very much appreciate if someone had more info on this.

Thank you for answering.
Oh, so it matters wether the parameter is an instance parameter or a type parameter? Why is that? Also I need to fill in the System value and I can’t get the system info to Solibri. Any advice for this?Do you know if there is any official documentation on this topic? I would like to understand more deeply on how Solibri fills in the property values.

Yes, it matters but I don’t remeber how Solibri manage types and instances.
Values in the System parameter will be shown when objects are placed in a system in Revit, i.e. the object inherits the system name where it is placed. See example below.

Unfortunately I don’t think Solibri have any public documentation for this. E.g. I’ve been asking them earlier why each system includes the “Distrubution System.n” prefix but they only referred to Autodesk since the IFC was exported from Revit.

Yes, system most applies to installation objects, so that seems like a strange requirement.
Are you sure the information shall be applied as the relation between the object and the IfcSystem or shall it be applied as a parameter i a specific propertyset? In the latter case you can for example use worksets i Revit for these “building systems” and export as the property System in a the specific propertyset.
Can you share the requirement document or is it not for public use?
