Opened up an .ifc which I know has data held in the Data (Type) tab within components. However, when I have opened the .ifc with the latest version of Solibri, its not pulling through the Data (Type) tab anymore. When I revert back to the previous version, it pulls it through again correctly!? Any ideas?

Could you send a screenshot of the “Data (Type)” tab that is missing from the latest version? You could also send email to [email protected]. The full IFC model or similar small IFC where this issue exists would help us much.
      Thanks for reporting this.

This is usually related to the Verison of Revit that is being used to Export to IFC along with the IFC translator. Initially instead of where a value is created at both a type and instance level and the instance taking precedent. Autodesk automatically created the property sets with appended (type). This was changed later and now in the latest translators they do not append the (type) to the property set. This is not a Solibri based issue it relates to the IFC translator. You should also check that if you are exporting using the IFC translator and are using a mapping file then you might have the same value for the property sets values i.e. data for both instance and type based parameters. The problems for Solibri are only present if different models use the different outputs leading to inconsistencies in the data locations.

Morning, I am confused as to how this is an issue with Revit version / IFC Translator.

If I export the IFC from Revit 2018 and open it in the old version of Solibri the correct property sets are in the components data tabs.

If I open the same IFC in the new version of Solibri they are not there? I don’t think that has anything to do with Revit or the IFC translator? More to do with how Solibri is reading the data?

I’ll investigate further and provide an update.

          Thanks

True, looks like not an Revit problem.

            Could you try following:

            1. Clean the log folder: C:\Program Files\Solibri\SOLIBRI\log
            2. Open the IFC model with Solibri 9.10.3 (or with 9.10.4 beta)
            3. Look C:\Program Files\Solibri\SOLIBRI\log\runtime.log and C:\Program Files\Solibri\SOLIBRI\log\error.log for errors.
In case of error you could send the log files to [email protected] or post the error here.
