Issue with categorization of results
-
For some rules the categorization of results isn’t working. In the example below I use SOL/231/1.5. I want to categorize by Name so I can see the differences between beams of steel and concrete and select them. I can choose any property to categorize but none of them works.

The following does not directly answer your question, but regarding to the categorization of results I have a related issue which may find approval by some other users as well.
In this example I have to different types of Slabs for GFA and Divisions
(They are recognized as Slabs because of the way how Solibri matches IFC Entities, also discussed in detail in this thread: https://society.solibri.com/topic/96/visible-ifc-entity/5)Basically the rule checks if all the Divisions are enclosed by a GFA and reports an issue in the case of an unwanted potrusion. However, as they are both a slab component, the categorization of results is not very satisfying as I do not get displayed the involved components by another criteria than its component type.

I am aware that this is not a misbehaviour, however in many use cases it would be a great help in terms of clarity and comprehensibility if there is a possibility to change the appearance from “Component” e.g. to a custom Property/Layer/Name/Material …
=> Replacement of Component Type with ID/Name

For better understanding I have attached this sketch - the main benefit of course would be that the issue identification would be much faster if I do not have to investigate each individual element manually.

@Solibrians is this a bug or why isn’t it working properly? Without a working categorization checking my models takes so much more time. In the example I have to filter all the different Type Names of the Beams by hand.

Well, it seems like a bug. Do you know if this has been broken for you recently (does it work in any version)? Looking at the code it seems that the categorization actually is just not implemented.

I’ve just tested it in in version 9.9.6 and it works fine. Can you report this as a bug? Will save me a lot of time when fixed.

Hi. The bug is now reported, but no estimate when it would be addressed.
