Correspondance on Issues between SMV and SMC
-
Hello, due to the fact, that i had the pleasure to join a presentation of Cornelius at the SUEE in Hamburg These days, this goes out to Cornelius (there will be a short summary in german at the end): I would like to come back to your offer to give Questions and remarks About further developments in Solibri. So what we think, we really need is a better respond forom the SMV to the SMC regarding issues. We have full understanding for the different Levels of functions in SMV vs. SMC. But what Needs to be a litle bit mir optimized is the possibility to give back informations about issues from SMV to SMC. It is quite okay to be able to comment the issues and to add screenshots (Thumbnails). Maybe it should be additional possible to be able to create issues. I am not sure about that and can be discussed. But it is in practical not really possible to create a bcf Export and Import it every time. So how Sounds that: Save the bcf
s in SMV in a pre-defined Project-specific Folder. This Folder will be defined in SMC. This Information is part of the smc-file. And then there is an function in SMC which Imports automatically (or by respond) all the bcfs, saved and created in that specific Folder. That would enable the users to communicate without saving and sending files by Hand. And you would ot really Need to increase the SMV-funcionality. Does that possibillity already exist? Would that be a Major problem to create that otherwise?
Hello Marcus and thank you for your input.
We are currently looking into our products portfolio to see what functionality we want to provide in each product moving forward. Creation of issues in SMV has been brought up before from other users. We see that this might be a good addition in the future to facilitate issue management between products.
