    Hi

I just recived a IFC modell from tekla exported as Assemblyes, the fedrated floor funktion is not working and all assembleys are located att the ground floor of the Architecture modell.

THis is as federated SMC with mutliple diciplines. It´s´functioning porperly on every other modell.

That is is probably because it is difficult to export building storeys from Tekla.
So most Tekla models only have one building storey at the ground level.

But it is possible to create building storeys from Tekla and to assign elements to the correct Building Storey.
I have documentation how to do that, but only in Dutch.

I know that it´s a problem with tekla. The Diffrence in this case is that the modell has floors. Federated floor is corret in the picture because i´ve reassignd it with custom relations.

What about all elements inside the Assembly? To what level are those assigned?

(Click the assembly with Shift+left mouse to select elements within the assembly)

@Jim-persson The floors have to have the correct top/bottom elevation for the federated floors to work correctly without changing them from the custom relation view. So the component has a relation to a floor, and based on that floor elevation it gets mapped to the federated floor and not based on the components own elevation.

For some reason quite often the floors are exported from Tekla but floor location is not correct. If you choose one of the Tekla floors to the info view, have a look at the floor location. I suspect in your model they are all at 0 level.

That seems to be the case here as well. now I understand the problem at least.
