Allowed Beam Intersections(SOL233) - distance zero between beam and pipe described with non-zero intersections(depth, width, height)
-
Hi,
I’ve encounterd the confusing checking results with SOL/233/1.3.
Please look at the following checking Results. I found Beam.0.339 intersected with Pipe.0.20. Then I got the Description in ‘INFO’, it told me dimentions about depth, width, height, volume are 31.348mm, 300.439mm, 2.797mm and 0L.

The volume 0L is correct because those components placed in zero distance(horizontal, vertical). See the screenshot below.

Is this correct ? Please advise me why this happens.
Best regards,
-
This might be a bug in this rule.
Could you send a small sample model of this case to us ([email protected])?
You can make the model smaller by removing everything else than these components from the model (see: Model Tree popup menu)
Please add a URL (link) to this topic in the same email. -
Got the file from Support.

The intersection calculation is finding too large intersection.
The support has reported this as a bug in this this rule. There is a tiny intersection between the pipe and beam. Values below are in millimeters.
The values withbold are elevations.Pipe Bounding box:
