Connection to BIMcollab not working

Hi. As I understood it, “BIMcollab new” uses the public BCF API, and the other one the BIMcollab specific connection type. The new BCF Live Connector only supports BCF API connections, so the old address wouldn’t work with 9.12.0 version.
Are you testing with the 9.12.0 Beta version?

Hello @JeroenKoomen,
We have discussed and agreed with BIMcollab that once 9.12.0 is released, the original BIMcollab connection will no longer be valid from Solibri’s side. Only the new BCF-API connection (BIMcollab new) will be supported.
Please note, the connection is not tied to the 9.12.0 version, but rather the release date. This means that the old connection will no longer be valid in older versions of Solibri either.
@Paul-Deckers Do you have anything to add, is the old connection still valid on BIMcollabs side?

@tonigyllenberg Is it allready not valid now?
We got a lot of errors using the new connection… also got feedback of other users they experienced this also so we switched back to the old connection because we are using it on projects that depend on it.

We have not yet removed the connection on our side, however I added Paul Deckers from BIMcollab to the previous comment to ask if there had been any changes from BIMcollab’s side recently.

The connection seems to be working now…

Would be nice to know when the server will be terminated so we can prepare for that!

Did you need to perform any actions, like reconfigure the server, or did it just start working again?

Nope… just started working.
Yesterday i checked with a colleague and with somebody from other company and the connection did not work for all 3 of us so I am pretty sure it was not something on my pc.

Mystery solved: The server was temporarily unavailable. This has now been fixed.

Just tried to connect the new Beta and it seems not to be possible. Might this be server related as well?

EDIT: Mystery solved - seems to be related to our IT restrictions and running the Beta with Admin rights.
