Rule #SOL/179/4.3 Egress convergence
-
Hello Solibri Team!
We need to realize Escape Route Analysis (#SOL/179/4.3) rule based on Abu Dhabi Building Code (which is International Building Code modified).
Case is from different levels upper and below exit check allowed travel distance and Maximum width of doors and passageways.

Everything looks good, except Egress convergence chapter (1004.5 ABD CODE, 1005.6 IB CODE)
It means: “Where means of egress from floors above and below converge at an intermediate level, the capacity of the means of egress from the point of convergence shall not be less than the sum of the two floors.”
As I understand, rule count occupant load at route overlap by maximum occupant load route.
Is any tricks how to take account to Egress convergence requirement?Best Regards,

Rule #179 doesn’t have check for sum of occupants in the two floors.
The only way to check this is to check two floor having the maximum occupants separately.
Filter two floors in the parameters or by using the “check selected” filter (a new feature in Solibri Model Checker 9.9.4.98).
