The way this could optimally work, is that there would be no need to translate.
There are problems in the language management of Rules and more. The problems amplify across Anywhere<>Office users. In international offices working on projects across multiple language areas, it is difficult to run Solibri optimally. We are now thinking to have Solibri installed both in English and German, with two office shared resources.
The default paths could also be defined relatively -is this coming in the new Solibri? That would be so good.

@_c_ Have you considered creating language-specific roles that point to the correct paths? The roles could all be in one folder with proper names, like English/Deutsch.

Hallo, this is primarily a documentation issue. But yes, I also gave up sharing office wide, I use now only a SharePoint path, whereby, from inside Solibri, I am really never sure if I am editing there or where.
I think I can speak for most when I wish it was easier and more transparent to manage Solibri resources. The UI is very confusing in this sense. For example: It would be useful to display somewhere the path of the active rule while we are editing it.

Hallo, this is primarily a documentation issue.
The UI is very confusing in this sense. There is certainly a lot to say on this topic. However, it seems that nothing has changed here for quite some time. The easiest approach to resource management and deployment still remains unclear to me, but is probably done outside of Solibri.

Thanks for reminding about this. We try to improve the documentation and fix the paths that are not working (e.g. classification_directory)

With every update, and especially for new users, it’s always a hassle to get the roles configured correctly. Let alone the right settings for everything that isn’t included in the role—things like dimensioning and disciplines.
So there’s also a strong desire here to improve this.
