Issue is solved. The issue was there were too many folders opened in the Ruleset Folders view.

Just an update on my workflow.
I first update and save my Selection Set. But when I select my updated Selection Set. I see objects that are NOT in my Selection Set. And are not a part of the current Selection Basket. That is incorrect behavior.
So in the Selection Basket Window I select all objects that áre in the Selection Basket. I conform again with =. Objects in the 3D view disapear. And I save my Selection Set again. From this moment on the Selection Set works again as expected.
This does not make sense and feels like a bug.

Sorry if it wasn’t clear. Here above are the steps I am doing manually. The idea is trying to automate it so I just have to autorun my file to get the output.

I already try to automate it but for now I am still stuck. Here are my thoughts:

Easy to do ! I think it is impossible to link dynamically a classification in Solibri to an excel (you can only import it manually) so: Either we edit the file.Classification (which doesn’t look easy because with a text editor it is unreadable) Either we try to use a rule linked to an excel file to highlight the proper elements (I more or less manage to do so but then you have no option displaying both “classification” and their color) I didn’t try this one because I wasn’t able to get the wanted output for the previous step but they are few function to play with issues and presentation (still it looks hard to accomplish) Also easy with the autorun

I don’t know what exactly you want to do but if your classification is not meant to change, you can use the autorun to open the file you want apply the classification and get the output.

As a BIM and PowerBI nerd, I would say that the best way to integrate large Revit/IFC models into PowerBI is through VIM AEC, the company I work for. We are looking forward to Solibri making their data available to PowerBI so that we can showcase an integration and release templates for users.

Seems legit.

I guess your property is defined by sth like

#12345=IFCPROPERTYSINGLEVALUE('YourPropertyName',$,IFCREAL(102.),$);

Your IfcUnits are probably mm but the specified lenght units in Solibri might be m in your first example with 3 digits shown?

Though I am not sure then why in your second example you suddenly have 5k mm with 6 decimals shown. But it would make sense that it is actually 5(.0) meters in your file (which might be a different one/having different units (m) assigned?)

So ‘Text’ is just sth. that acutally exists within Solibri. In fact the value specified in the IFC is derived via getPropertyValue () which brings me back to my first reply

You can define the unit measures and how they are shown within Solibri in your settings.

There are several tutorials, what varies is which version of BFC they save it in. It is the same in the new BCF manager from Archicad, but the truth is that I always prefer to install the BCF Manager from BIMcollab, since the cloud is free and it can be linked to Solibri and Archicad from the server as well. All incidents saved and managed from a single database for that project.

@JSN I completely agree with that. The open dialog is a pain and seems to be from the time of Win95 or even Win3.11…
