  • Choose which color-column in ITO to display in 3D?

    Hey,

Thanks for the reply. I am not completely sure if I understood your answer, though, so I’ll try to explain a bit further.

In my ITO I have several columns, that mainly consists of “Classifications” and “Color”-columns connected to each of these Classifications. In that way, I have several different colors in the ITO list (based on the Classifications), which is great, but I’d like to be able to choose which one of these represent the color in 3D. As it is now, it’s the color-column furthest to the right in the list.

This could be easily solved by moving the color column I’d like all the way to the right (or atleast after the “last” color-column), but from a “list point of view”, this isn’t how I’d like it formatted. As it is now, it is the furthest to the left Color-column i’d like to show up in 3D. This is because this is the “main” status/classification, and it makes sense that it is placed all the way to the left, and not the right.

TLDR; I still need different color columns based on different Classifications, unless I misunderstood your soloution completely, that is. I don’t think one “Color”-classification could solve my issue?

You can use the dimension tool to take point to point measurements.

If you need to report the lengths in ITO or check them in a rule, you are limited to the Length, Length (Minimum), Thickness, Thickness (Minimum), Height, Height (Minimum) under the Quantities for walls.

You may have a native Dimension property sets.

For miter joins it can be tricky since the inside face length can be shorter than the outside, but perhaps you can use the Length (Minimum) for inside and Length for outside:

    Hi @gangolo

You’ll need to have some IFC to represent the site boundary. You could create an area plan with a new area scheme for the Site Boundary on the ground floor. Then draw the area boundaries where you site boundary is. This should export to an IfcSpace. You can then use the Component Inside Component rule to check that no walls are closer than a distance to the sides of the Site Boundary IfcSpace:

We found a solution and it is being deployed. Will post an update once it is done and tested. Apologies and thank you for the patience .

It seems to work again. Thanks!

    Hi,
Thanks so much! I got it!

I found this and it seems that the Name in the information view cannot be changed. In this case, the classification rule defines the Name with “Office” in information view as “Office” in Classification Name.

Filtering the results based on building parts is also quite useful but in the end I desperately miss the feature to e.g. filter created slides by issue position /better a specific classification - or e.g. alternatively to create presentations from checking results only based on such a filtering. If anyone has a proper workflow suggestion which does not need duplicates of rules or lots of manual labeling I would be more than happy.

    @boosolini

Der Filter funktoniert so nicht - nicht mehrere einzelne Zeilen beim Komponentenfilter verweden, sondern statt “Enthält” > “Einer von” und dort die Werte eintragen.

    Hi @thudelicious

Here is an article on changing the ifc class type of components in Revit. I suggest creating a IfcExportAs parameter attached to your masses and set the property value to IfcSpace.

    Hi
You must contact your local Solibri dealer. They can provide the school with an educational pack of Solibri.

    Hi @plauze

Here is a ruleset that uses the comparison between property values rule to check for objects with top elevations lower than the elevations of the floors they reside on:

    Level Compare.cset

You can see it finds some sinks on the wrong level:

    4d425109-58da-45d2-8d00-088e0936b6a9-image.png

You’ll get false positives of components that are suppose to be below the elevation such as footings and maybe sunken slabs.

@manongrobben Hi, I did some tests, and I posted the result opening a new topic:

It is possible it was possible to modify them in 9.10 with BIMCollab, but in 9.12 BCF Live Connector supports only standard BCF API connections and that is the limitation there. I believe BIMCollab also dropped support for the old-style connections recently?

https://github.com/buildingSMART/BCF-API can be used to discuss if the viewpoints should be made mutable in future BCF versions.

And one possibility of course is to contact BIMCollab and see if they could make it possible to delete viewpoints.
