    Hello @sbeaz!

If the issue is very recent, this is most likely due to a downtime event we had last week. Simply try starting up again. For more information, see this notification: https://www.solibri.com/ssc-maintenance.

    Kind regards,

Thanks for report. The same problem was reported also to the Solibri support.
The fix for this problem is included in the next release version.

@ricardo said in Classification window in larger models super slow:

(How) have you tried to optimize the classifications so far?

In this case tbh not really, as the goal here is to map almost all the elements in a specific customer classification - which is still changing a lot. I guess using multiple classifications to break it down into pieces first might always be a good approach but in this case I needed/wanted to have it all in one to have a better overview and flexibility.

So yeah I think the idea of an “Apply” button which also prevents that changes automatically go into effect while the window is still open might be a good idea. Plus, btw when you have the window open and then change tab it just closes without any notice and all your changes are gone without any warning. This should not happen as well!

I have not tried opening the exported bcf with any other software. Do you have a program in mind that I can test with?

The size of the bcf-file makes me think it is an import issue, it looks as if the import just stops at around 1/5.

Still getting the same results, I had one presentation with 424 slides that imported just fine and another with 120 that only got 20 in total.

EDIT: I tried using BCF 2.1, got 106 out of 120 total. No apparent common property causing the 14 left to be excluded.

Globally, I want to control my model this way then export results with explinations (Why), this is possible by Solibri but what i don’t know is how to export the ID of elements that don’t match the criteria, or chose the information to export about those elements (I am talking about rule result export). Also, i want to know if i can export a report form similar to that above.

    Regards.

Hi. Solibri calculates the quantities from the geometry information. Sometimes it might be different from what the modeling software has. If such occurrences happen, we can log a bug and improve the calculation algorithms.

“Is it possible to search for a certain value from all of the properties of a property set? For example, if I want to search for “EI90” from the property set “MagiCAD Pset_Elbow” but the exact property that contains the information varies.”

You can use the wildcard (*) for that.
So you search in all property sets and all properties:

However, I don’t know how this affects your performance, so like you found yourself already, rather use, for instance:

    "MagiCAD Pset_*.Insulation*"

Within the values you can also use wildcards

    EI90 --> only matches 'EI90' *EI90 --> matches 'Firerating EI90' or 'EI90' EI90* --> matches 'EI90 Firerating' or 'EI90' *EI90* --> matches 'Firerating EI90 minutes' or 'Firerating EI90' or 'EI90 Firerating' or just 'EI90'

Hi. It should be doable with a little help from our custom information API (https://society.solibri.com/topic/563/information-api)
What you need is information that reads the date from propertyset or something else and then possibly compares it to the current date and returns “true” or “false”.
It could then be used in selection basket, filters and even in ITO and rule filters so you could check or calculate only “new” components.

@marchi said in Required Classification Check (SOL 11) not working, giving wrong results, when multiple classifications are allowed?:

The solution would be to type the searced classification with Wildcards, and they have to be before and after the searced item. Otherwise, you will only get the results where the non-searched item is after the searched one.

Ok thanks for the hint, will try this later and see if it brings me somewhere!

on our side, we are currently developing and choosing which data we are going to use for our BI setup. So far we have been exporting xslx files from our authoring tools, which so far works fine. A live connection would be off course much better since it saves time. We are currently working on other solutions to feed data in a cleaner and reliable way that involves 3rd party apps.
An important aspect about this topic is, that the market does not offer only Power BI, which is a Microsoft product. There are tons of other products such as Tableau, looker, google datalab, sisense and also from the open source community such as: LinceBI (our favorite), spagoBI, redash. Some even offer better options than PowerBI. Therefore, it would be nice if Solibri could offer its analytics not just to PowerBI. There is more out there, than just Microsoft 😉

Since we are designer & engineers working on a virtual building, it is necessary to visualize the building. Additional to the diagrams and pie charts, an interactive model would be more than appreciated. There are already some solutions on the market such as Vcad and some from “proving grounds”. This way the user could inspect the data inside the model and get a better overview. Like this:
    fbb58ef7-037c-427a-86b2-b30df7cc365f-grafik.png
Options that we would use from Solibri in the BI setting would be the classifications. In this scenario, we would get a better visual overview (including the 3D Model) of which elements have fulfilled the criteria (the same way in solibri).
To also get a better understanding of the project development and its KPIs, the TIME factor is important. In this use case, the time stamp of a model would allow the BI to show the improvement, hence the BI should store the specified time. This can be currently easily accomplished by a spreadsheet table. Only in this way we can visualize and get better data understanding if the model is progressing or not.

Everything else has been already mentioned in the previous post.
