@Xavier said in Detect/list the elements INSIDE a space:

But when the elements and Spaces are in different IFC files, it’s not simple to solve it. Maybe it’s possible using a Clash rule, and list the results. Is there other more direct workaround?

Use nearest space relation or nearest space field:

In Information Takeoff you can use the both In Classification you can use only the field (hopefully we get this soon)

To find out more about nearest space: Search topics with “nearest space”

Prefect i missed that you can make ITO editable complety. that solves this issue

Editable works only for classification and color column.

Tip: the color column can be set to take the colors from a classification column.

Thanks for your answer, but this way I only get UNKNOWN as Type of the Related, but the Slab is definitely FLOOR in Solibri interface and SLAB in API -> component.getComponentType()

May you have one more hint for me, thanx a lot so far

    Reinhard

    Collection<Component> CT = component.getRelated(Relation.of(Relation.Type.DEFINES_BY_TYPE, Relation.Direction.BACKWARD)); if (CT.iterator().hasNext()==true) { String CTYPE = CT.iterator().next().getComponentType().toString(); }

Mystery solved: The server was temporarily unavailable. This has now been fixed.

Just tried to connect the new Beta and it seems not to be possible. Might this be server related as well?

EDIT: Mystery solved - seems to be related to our IT restrictions and running the Beta with Admin rights.

Thanks for these hints! After testing some alternative model layouts (removing partial models), we found that it’s not an issue of graphics (or triangle count at all). It has been an issue of structural (hierarchical) depth of models. There was model of an road & infrastructure design platform, which exports storey in storey in storey and so on. Somehow Solibri gets confused by this modelling strategy (I’m too). Once we removed that model, it started to work fine again.

    Hello @Robbert-Evers,

Could you provide some more information on the problems you are having?

What version of Solibri are you using, and what platform (Windows version/Mac version) After changing the status to resolved, does e.g. leaving the layout and returning (or clicking on another issue) affect the value in the Issues list? Does the problem appear only with this one specific BCF File, or is it easily reproducible? If it can be reproduced with e.g. a sample project, can you provide the steps to reproduce the problem? Does the problem always appear with this file and this specific issue, or does e.g. closing and reopening Solibri have some effect? Can you tell us more about the file in question, where does it originate from; is it created from another Solibri instance or from somewhere else?

If you can provide these details, and anything else which may stand out in this case, it would help us in determining what may be causing the problem. Of course, if it is possible to share the BCF file that would also speed up the investigation.

    Kind regards,

Toni on behalf the Solibri team

Hi. It is hard to say without logs. Could be the antivirus system blocking the execution as you said there were some IT changes. They might have to whitelist Solibri executable or check with the Antivirus product why it might prevent Solibri from launching.

    Hello!

I believe the Hyperlink tab within element info is actually for Hyperlinks setup through Solibri. There is some guidance at the page below:

    https://www.solibri.com/learn/working-with-hyperlinks-in-the-solibri-model-checker

It seems to be a functionality split between the values contained in the ifc file, and those setup through Solibri. It would be useful for them to be automatically picked up.
